spot instance Max price set to -1

Hi! may i know if i set the max price to -1, what is the different compare to if i buy the regular PAYG VM? it seems spot instance with max price set to -1 is a better deal compare to regular on demand VM since the price is always the below or equal to standard price. am i correct? ![95985-image.png][1] [1]: /api/attachments/95985-image.png?platform=QnA

    relating to pricing, yes, its always better, but be aware that CAPACITY evictions can still take place so you would need to ensure your app is still ok with this. Also the VM will NOT be automatically restarted when capacity becomes available again, you would have to establish your own process to check and restart.
