How to change encoding system to UTF-8?

I have this issue withe encoding system is fixed ANSI as default in Windows Notepad 11.2410.20.0

How can I change it from the system settings itself to another encoding system?

With this encoding system I cannot read my old files from old systems, I tried to re "save as" and changed encoding system to UTF-8, still not solved.

When I open with the "WORD" shows me the encoding system need to be chosen first to make it readable.

I hope the screen shots vary clear.

    Hello Crystali,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Microsoft Answers Community.

Based on the description, it seems that the text cannot be displayed because you are using a font that does not contain the arabic letters. The built-in Notepad application can only use a single font, with no fallback.

There are 3 ways to solve the issue:

    • Set the notepad font to one that has Arabic letters. However, such fonts may not have other letters available.
    • Install a pan-Unicode font, like GNU Unifont, and set the notepad font to it.
    • Use a third-party text/code editor that supports font fallbacks.
