Windows 11 update from 23H2 to 24H2 iqvw64e.sys error

Here's what the pop-up window says

A driver cannot load on this device

Driver: iqvw64e.sys

A security setting is detecting this as a vulnerable driver and blocking it from loading.

You'll need to adjust your settings to load this driver.

I found the driver in c:\ProgramFiles\Dell\SupportAssistAgent\PCDr\SupportAssist\6.0.7240.285

So after the Windows Update to 24H2 i got the above message and need a way to fix it.

The operating system is Windows 11 Home

I need a specific way to adjust the settings to load the driver

Everything else after the 24H2 update seems to be fine. I don't get any other error messages.

Any specific information and posts would be helpful and useful for a solve.

I now have a folder C:\Windows.old and i figure this is for rolling back the update if it was necessary.

After right clicking the iqvw64e.INF file (under c:\program files\dell ... ) and choosing install, a iqvw64e.sys was found in the c:\windows\system32\drivers folder.

    It wasn't previously there.

Apparently it wasn't previously necessary for the 23H2 update i was running.

Everything seems to be good. No more pop-up window.

Just wanted to update on my different solution:

(I had an EXISTING OUTDATED iqvw64e.sys file in my c:\windows\system32\drivers folder):

    1. Download the latest intel network adapter driver from intel.com for windows 11 but don't install yet:

    https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/727998/intel-network-adapter-driver-for-microsoft-windows-11.html?wapkw=intel%20network%20adapter%20driver%20for%20windows%2011

    1. UNINSTALL intel network connections drivers from settings>apps>installed apps (this removes the old file). Reboot Computer.
    2. Install the latest intel network adapter driver downloaded from intel.com in step 1. Reboot Computer.
    3. DONE!

I have tried this and it is not working. Troubleshooting steps that i had done:

    • Checked for memory integrity settings -> disabled
    • Uninstall & reinstall network adapter.
    • Update driver using Intel Driver Update Assist.
    • Searched for ipvw64e.INF in C:\Windows\System32\Drivers folder -> not found.

Please help me to solve this issue. :/

    I have this same issue.

I've now tried all the solutions suggested in this thread, but the issue remains...

Just have to say that I HATE it when Microsoft f..s up stuff with their updates! It should NOT be necessary to struggle for hours to fix something THEY ruined!!!

    (An earlier post mentioned Dell...)

    1. C:\Windows> dir /s/b iqvw64e.*
      (no results)
    2. C:\Program Files> dir /s/b iqvw64e.*
      -> iqvw64e.inf and iqvw64e.sys found inside C:\Program Files\Dell\SupportAssist
    3. appwiz.cpl (Add/Remove Programs) showed that Dell Support Assist on my system was installed in 2020. I have had lots of trouble with the version of SupportAssist that rolled out in the early Covid days (2020) -- filling the C: drive, and other issues.

After uninstalling Dell SupportAssist and rebooting the error is gone.
