Hello,

For about a month now, I would have trouble with a game (Fortnite) crashing a steady amount due to the anti cheat Epic Games uses, EasyAntiCheat. When I look in event viewer after a crash, it presents this:

I tried reinstalling the game which didn't work, along with internet research which didn't present many results and no working solutions. I disabled my AV to see if that was the cause as well, but no difference.

At this point I am at my wits' end.

Any solutions or ideas?

All will be greatly appreciated!

Cheers,

PM

    1. Check if you have "Epic Online Servies" installed on control panel.
    2. If you don't, open your EpicGames Launcher and go into settings. It should tell you to install.
    3. If you get this warning in Epic Games Launcher: EOS-ERR-1603 error, you have the same issue that I had. Nothing in the Epic Help Center fixed this error for me.
    4. I solved this by installing FallGuys in the EpicGames Launcher and finding+installing the EasyAntiCheat setup in the FallGuys folder.

After restarting the launcher, check if the game is still crashing/stuttering your PC.

I did this after rolling back my windows to 23H2, but I think it should work even if you stay on 24H2. If it doesn't - look into rolling back your windows to 23H2 on YT and do the same thing that I just described.

I have memory integrity turned off for now but I'll check if it works with it on later.

Did turning off core isolation fix it for you?

I have a different solution now if not.

I followed ur suggestion earlier, had 3-4 games in a row without issue and then I crashed again just now.

    **** is driving me insane.

I can't see anything about easyanticheat in the eventviewer after the last crash, now it says something about file_protector and local activation permissions and COM services..
