I had the same issue on Windows 11 and noticed it started after I received a recent virus definition update in Microsoft Defender. My workaround is this: whenever I experience problems and the game crashes or disconnects me from the session, I close the game, open the Windows virus scanner, update the security definitions, and run a quick scan. Then I restart the game, and it should work again—at least, that’s what worked for me. Good luck!
File System Filter EasyAntiCheat_EOSSys` does not support Bypass IO [CRASHING]
Hello,
For about a month now, I would have trouble with a game (Fortnite) crashing a steady amount due to the anti cheat Epic Games uses, EasyAntiCheat. When I look in event viewer after a crash, it presents this:

I tried reinstalling the game which didn't work, along with internet research which didn't present many results and no working solutions. I disabled my AV to see if that was the cause as well, but no difference.
At this point I am at my wits' end.
Any solutions or ideas?
All will be greatly appreciated!
Cheers,
PM

Sorry I never got back to you sooner!
I tried all your solutions, but it seems I had no luck. :(
Every now and then I try again to see if it would work, but so far, it hasn't resolved the error.
Have a good one,

2025-02-22T05:40:52+00:00 Greetings!
Sadly this did not fix the particular issue that I have encountered. All I can say is that the crashing has now increased to be happening around 5 times every 3 hours of playtime, which is decently bad. It's not technically unplayable for me, but it is getting there.
In event viewer, it still spits the same crash log, repeating 3 to 5 times-ish within the milisecond it's crashing:
"File System Filter 'EasyAntiCheat_EOSSys' (Version 6.1, 2025-02-20T02:45:58.000000000Z) does not support bypass IO.
Supported features: 0x4."
Is there anything other logs or info I should provide?
Also note:
I REALLY appreciate everyone's help, wether that be via feedback, possible solutions, and experiences, it really makes me feel happy and hopeful that we will all come to an answer hopefully soon! :)

2025-02-16T09:31:29+00:00 Just about to try this from here: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/file-system-filter-easyanticheateossys-version-61/fa7cec9e-f350-4716-84b1-0170c4eae1e6 Hello! My name is Renzo, and I’m an independent advisor and a long-time Microsoft user.
I’m sorry that you are experiencing this issue, and I will try my best to assist you with this so that you find a satisfactory solution.
It seems like this is a common issue with games and a solution was found by turning off the core isolation. You can follow the instructions in this link. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/opt...
This issue has been resolved by multiple users brainstorming in this community forum link for your reference. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/for...
You can also try to revert back to an older Windows Version if turning off core isolation didn't work. You can check the above link for this as well.
I hope the above steps helped you. In case of additional questions, reach out back to me, and I will be happy to help and try my best to resolve your issue.
Thank you,
Renzo M.Thanks for info Renzo (if it works ;) )
