My laptop (ASUS Rog Zephyrus G14/AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS w/ Radeon 780M Graphics) restarts randomly when I am connected to internet through my Ethernet/USB-C connector adapter (HAMA 00200322), a blue screen error appears and says rtux64w10 is at fault. I can't find the right pilot I need to reinstall in the Device Manager. Can someone help me, please?

Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

See if your computer created minidump files.

    These files are in "C:\Windows\Minidump".

(If you don't have a "Minidump" folder, check if it is in the plural "Minidumps".)

Copy any files you have to your desktop and store them in a ZIP file. Then, upload the ZIP file to the cloud (OneDrive), choose to share it, and get the link.

Post the link to the ZIP file here so I can have a look.

    Yes, here it is.

    Minidump.zip

    Thank you!

    Thanks.

The minidumps only mention the driver "rtux64w10.sys", which belongs to a USB network adapter. Apparently, the adapter you mentioned in your original question.

Since the minidump does not mention other drivers, it is safe to point to the USB adapter driver as the sole cause of the crashes.

My search returned the adapter from the link below. Is this correct?

    https://www.hama.com/00200322/hama-network-adap...

If this is the right adapter, you will notice that the manufacturer does not provide a link to download the driver on its website. There is only a link to download the manual.

The availability of compatible drivers is the responsibility of the manufacturer.

Did the adapter come with a CD/DVD or USB flash drive included?

    Thank you for your answer.

Yes this is the correct adapter and no, unfortunately, it didn't come with any CD/DVD or USB flash drive...

Sorry for the delay in reply. I've been offline.

    Thanks for the clarifications.

Please share a screenshot of the network adapters in Device Manager.

    1. Open "Device Manager" (Windows + X and select Device Manager);
    2. Expand "Network adapters" and take the screenshot.

Use the shortcut "Windows + Shift + S" to use the screenshot tool.
