Wifi keeps disconnecting after updating windows 10

Hello guys,

I have a trouble connecting to wifi from my ASUS laptop after updating to windows 10, the previous version is windows 8. The wifi automatically disconnects between 10-20 minutes after windows start, and not able to connect any networks in the list once disconnected. The problems is only with my ASUS laptop, and other devices can access smoothly without any trouble. I have already troubleshot all the possible solutions from online, and still it couldn’t be fixed. But the strange thing is the problem only persist when connecting the wifi (fiber cable) at my home. And I have tried connecting to other networks from my friend homes and public networks- there was no such problem at that time. I have contacted with network administrator, and they said they have done resetting the network and checking errors from their side, but no problems found. I really have no idea what to do. Could you guys please share me how to fix the same or similar problems previously? If anyone come up with the solution, It would be greatly appreciated.

    I'm Paul and I'm here to help you with your concern.

    1. Update or Rollback the WIFI driver in the Device Manager.

    Open Device Manager >> click Network Adapters >> right- click your WIFI driver >> click Update Driver.

    If the system says that you have the latest driver installed. Try to Roll back the driver. Right-click your WIFI driver >> click Properties >> click Driver tab >> click Roll back driver.

    1. Run Windows troubleshooter.

    Open Settings >> Update and Security >. Troubleshoot >> click Network Adapter >> click Run the troubleshooter.

    1. Uninstall the currently installed WIFI driver then download and install the available driver from the Asus support site.

    Hello Paul,

    Thank you very much for reaching out to me,

    I have done updating the Wifi driver via “search automatically for driver” option, and it said the best drivers are already installed. And “Roll Back Driver” is dim that I can’t click it.

    I have already run the troubleshooter, and the problem found is “problem with wireless adapter or access point”. But now I think the problem seems to be gone since Wifi keep connecting more than an hour without interruption.

    Again thank you very much for your suggestion, and let me get you updated if the problem completely gone in the next time opened.
