How to change the default installation location in Windows 11?

I've recently gotten a new SSD, and want to install things in that SSD instead of my old one. However, nothing I've tried has worked. I've tried changing the desktop location, I've tried changing the default download location through Advanced Storage Settings, but nothing has worked. Can someone help?

    Hi ,

I am Ivan, I will help you with this.

Honestly, you can change the default directory by accessing Windows Explorer > This Computer Tab > Properties > Location > Move and select where you want to move. This you do in subsequent programs and you only install and point it manually to the new local disk drive of the SSD.

    Hope this helps.
