Why on Earth would you change how to sign out or change user in Windows 11????????

Now I have to look for 3 dots and click and click more to do what I could in a couple clicks???

What POSSIBLE reason would that help anyone that uses more than one account?

WHY do I need to see my user account info instead of options to sign out or switch accounts???

WHY????? You guys keep breaking stuff like this!!! Taking what WAS working PERFECTLY FINE AS IT WAS, and make it take MORE EFFORT AND HIDE IT and make it more complicated!!!

Its DUMB.

Please STOP breaking what was not broken!

Nope. Not signed up on the insider program. This was updated via Updates maybe 1 or 2 days ago. I think this change was just pushed out recently. My main desktop was fine yesterday however it installed new updates last night. The laptop was different this morning and I haven't checked the desktop yet, not in my office.

My systems are set to receive latest updates, but a change like this is ridiculous.

As I said, I will have to reinstall the feedback tool. I try to keep most of the garbage off my system.

I was wondering why you thought I was an insider, and I see that in my profile it says I am. However I'm not running an insider version of the OS, or at least I didn't plan to. Going to check.

I have the same for my public release build.

    Edition Windows 11 Home

    Version 23H2

    Installed on ‎27/‎09/‎2023

    OS build 22631.3880

Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22700.1020.0

but do not have the setting enabled for latest builds. Definitely have the original style Start.

    Running:

    Edition Windows 11 Home
    Version 23H2
    Installed on ‎11/‎16/‎2022
    OS build 22631.3880
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22700.1020.0

On this machine with the issue.

So... Not sure what the issue is, but nothing about it being an insider version.

I don't have the setting enabled for the latest updates on my public build. (never see the point) I'm updating to the latest insider build at the moment so cannot switch back to my normal public build at the moment.

What is the full build of the problem laptop? I'll check against mine when I can.

Your user for this forum is showing as an Insider which is why I thought you may be using an insider build.

So my Insider build is 26241.5000 on Canary Channel. (I think I'm a build behind)

I see what you mean now. I very seldom use the functions you mentioned from Start so I hadn't noticed the change. Not a good move I agree.

They do report in the Insider blog that not all changes shown in Canary or possibly Dev channels will be carried forward to a public build so it is best to report them and give your opinion and that is what the Feedback Hub is for.
