Why on Earth would you change how to sign out or change user in Windows 11????????

Now I have to look for 3 dots and click and click more to do what I could in a couple clicks???

What POSSIBLE reason would that help anyone that uses more than one account?

WHY do I need to see my user account info instead of options to sign out or switch accounts???

WHY????? You guys keep breaking stuff like this!!! Taking what WAS working PERFECTLY FINE AS IT WAS, and make it take MORE EFFORT AND HIDE IT and make it more complicated!!!

Its DUMB.

Please STOP breaking what was not broken!

Well, Winkey L has been available for years. At least they haven't broken some of those commands... Yet.

There are so many things like this that they screwed up with both Windows 10 and 11 that just irritate me so much. Needless changes that make the experience worse, not better.

I guess for me this was like the straw that broke the camel hence my rant.

Between making the printer setups harder and harder to get to work correctly (I cannot count how many times I encounter Windows changing Printer settings willy nilly breaking how printers work for my customers) to power settings, to network settings, how the computer shuts down, and a multitude of other things.

And some people wonder why others want to stay on Windows 10. And its not exactly the best option either.

Its like they forgot the basics. And its infuriating.

Yes it sound like the setting for Get latest updates is the reason. However it looks like the change is on the way.

Based on the fact I see it on the Insider preview I'm going to post in the Insider forum and see what others say. Although I hadn't noticed the change until you posted.

I press the power button to turn off my laptop and if I wanted to lock it I would use winkey+L. (as I would in Windows 10)

Well the desktop hasn't changed... Yet.

But it also has the Get the latest updates feature turned off like yours, whereas my laptop has that enabled... So there's an answer that makes some sense.

What does the install date have to do with anything? That's probably from back when I bought the laptop. That has no bearing on that date for the OS version.

Just to clarify that install date corresponds with approximately the date that I bought the laptop.

I'm going to check my desktop when I get home and see if anything's different with it. But this certainly is weird if we both had the same addition yet mine has this change and yours don't.

Something I've just noticed about your version info and date. The installed on date is 2022 but 23H2 was not released until Sept/Oct 2023.
