Why on Earth would you change how to sign out or change user in Windows 11????????

Now I have to look for 3 dots and click and click more to do what I could in a couple clicks???

What POSSIBLE reason would that help anyone that uses more than one account?

WHY do I need to see my user account info instead of options to sign out or switch accounts???

WHY????? You guys keep breaking stuff like this!!! Taking what WAS working PERFECTLY FINE AS IT WAS, and make it take MORE EFFORT AND HIDE IT and make it more complicated!!!

Its DUMB.

Please STOP breaking what was not broken!

I have the same change to 'Sign out' as the OP and just noticed it today. I found this thread while searching for news about this change. Windows 11 Home with the same version, OS build and Windows Feature Experience Pack as the OP. In my case the installation date is recorded as 10/10/2022.

Like the OP, I don't see this as an improvement. Before I realised that 'Sign out' was hidden behind the three dots, I had to resort to <CTRL><ALT><DEL> to bring up 'Switch user' and 'Sign out'.

Yes I've done that but my feedback goes to the Insider group and not the public release.

I'm the same as you, fg2001 I don't use Start to shutdown and would have only noticed the next time I wanted to switch user.

I've linked this thread to my feedback and suggested the user option to toggle between the old and new method.

Build 26100.1150, no 3 dots on this one. πŸ˜‚

Build 22635.3930, has the change with the 3 dots. Same with Canary 26252.5000, Dev 26120.1252 and public Build 22631.3880. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

Looks like MS is propagating that useless change to all builds. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Write an FBH report with the preference for the old behavior if you don't like this new silly behavior. πŸ˜‰

I never use that menu anyway; it makes no difference to me. 🀐

    For Lock I use Win + L. πŸ˜‰

Do you have this setting On or Off.

So far it seems with it On you get the change and with it Off you don't. Another confirmation will help.

I've had a response from the Insider forum saying a post appeared on X about 2 hours ago stating user feedback as the reason.
