You may simply un-install Edge and re-install it again after, most of the issues regarding edge can simply be fixed with this method.
It depends, how was the new Edge browser installed on your PC, did you manually install that or was that's of a Windows 10 Automatic Update?
If you manually installed the Edge Chromium version, go to the Settings App - Apps and form there, uninstall the new Edge browser, after a restart, the old Edge will be reinstalled
If you got Edge form an update, then the old Edge browser was removed from your PC and that is no longer available as a download . . .
Let me know if it still the same after re-installing
