I actually did more testing as Peek icons went away even after I uninstalled Wear OS. I don't think it is Wear OS or any other app, but the option in: Settings > Display > Lock Screen display > New Notifications. If this is enabled, Peek icons do not seem to show up (but the screen lights up on getting a notification). A reboot seems needed to turn this off even after turning off the option in settings. I think I just happened to uninstall WearOS just prior to the reboot.
Surface Duo Peek Mode
My Surface Duo Peek mode only shows the date and time. However, it does not show who is calling, texting, etc... How can I configure peek mode to show who is calling and texting me? I understand that this option exists, because I've seen it work in videos.

Hello!
Peek Mode will display the time and any incoming calls. In order to see any notifications or other information you will need to open the Surface Duo.
