How do I stop Windows Defender from removing files without my consent.

Windows Defender keeps removing the software KMSPico from my PC, I am using it because I have already setup windows 10 and used a key previously on my computer but Windows 10 refuses to accept the key as I am using a custom build called Tiny10 to remove unwanted apps, yet Defender keeps removing the app and deleting it stating that it is a virus, I am using it for legitimate reasons & do not want Microsoft dictating what I can & can't use on my own device even though I paid for a legitimate license, i'm fine with Defender quarantining the offending software and giving me the option to keep it, but it deletes it almost instantly, how do i fix this problem without manually okaying every file?

Hello there! I am Charity, I'm an Independent Advisor. I'm glad to help you today!

My apologies about that. Have you tried the steps below?

o Press Windows + I to open Settings.

o Go to Update & Security > Windows Security.

o Click on Virus & threat protection.

o Select Manage settings under Virus & threat protection settings.

o Scroll down to Exclusions and click on Add or remove exclusions.

o Click the + Add an exclusion button.

o Choose File, Folder, File type, or Process and add the relevant file or folder you want to exclude.

Additionally, if Defender has already quarantined the file, you can restore it:

    • Under Virus & threat protection, click on Threat history.

    • Under Quarantined threats, find your file and click Restore.

Please keep me know if this worked for you.

    Kind Regards,

    Charity
