Im having trouble installing discord on my new pc. I keep getting "installation has failed" errors and "Javascript error occured in the main process"

I have deleted files from Roaming and Local in hopes of fixing the problem - this has not fixed it.

I have tried to run the setup file as an administrator - no luck

Im getting really stressed out as to why this wont work.

Hello Zac, I'm Johrelle a fellow Windows/Microsoft user. I'm happy to assist you.

It might be some antivirus or security software that might interfere with the Discord installation. Try disabling your antivirus or security software temporarily and then attempt the Discord installation again.

Did you get the "installation has failed" error or the "Javascript error occurred in the main process" error?

Other security software like firewalls can also sometimes block installations. Try disabling it temporarily too and see if it works.
