Hi Bradford, I am John J.D., a fellow Microsoft user like you.

I understand your frustration, and I'm here to help. There don't seem to be any known updates affecting the Power Options settings in the Control Panel. Is that the section you're looking at?

You can enable the Hibernate option by going to the Control Panel. Here are the steps:

    > Press Search, type "control panel," and select it from the results.

    > Select "System and Security."

    > In the Power Options section, select "Change what the power buttons do."

    > Click "Change settings that are currently unavailable."

    > Check the box next to "Hibernate" to enable it.

    > Click "Save changes."

When you follow these steps, do you see the option to enable Hibernate?

If not, could you attach a screenshot in your next response?

    John J.D.

    Hi John

Do I have a different version of Windows 11?

You can enable the Hibernate option by going to the Control Panel. Here are the steps:
    > Press Search, type "control panel," and select it from the results.
    > Select "System and Security." there is no "System and Security" option! there is a "System" option and a "Privacy & Security" option.
    > In the Power Options section, select "Change what the power buttons do." Under neither of the above sections is there a "Change what the power buttons do." option
    > Click "Change settings that are currently unavailable."
    > Check the box next to "Hibernate" to enable it.
    > Click "Save changes."

in fact searching Control Panel for "Power Buttons" or indeed "Hibernate" returns 'No results for...'

    Anyone have any ideas?

    I have a Lenovo Yoga 7i

    regards

    Martin
