Locating Word AutoRecovery or Temporary Files

I have recovered files before, but after converting to Word 2016 for Mac, I cannot seem to find the right location again. Where would I expect to find AutoRecovery and Temporary Files?

Thanks

Temp files are created in the same folder as the file. They are hidden files, but you can list them in Terminal using the ls -l command. They will have the first 2 characters of the file name replaced by ~$.

AutoRecovery files are located in Users/YourUserName /Library/Containers/com.microsoft.Word/Data/Library/Preferences/AutoRecovery/. By default, the user Library folder is hidden. Hold down the Alt key while clicking on the Go menu and choosing Library to show it.
