Bitlocker not working with Dual Boot

I installed Windows 10 pro for workstation and windows server 2019 trial in vmware workstation 15.5.6 build-16341506.

TPM is not available so I enabled group policy to require password on both win10 and win server 2019.

I was able to encrypt my OS drive with bitlocker when booted in windows 10 installation.

On reboot, I was prompted for key . All good so far.

However, when I boot windows 2019, I can't open manage bitlocker settings. In addition, my win 10 partition shows as encrypted and double clicking / opening that partition does not prompt for bitlocker password.

Am I missing a step?

    Hi,

I noticed you said dual boot configuration on device, do you mean dual boot (Windows 10 & Windows Server 2019) on virtual machine?

Do you want to enable Bitlocker on bootable drive or data drive on Windows Server 2019? Does the issue occur when try to enable Bitlocker on OS drive or data drive?

I noticed your Windows Server 2019 installed on VMware. As Microsoft does not support the use of BitLocker on the bootable partition of a virtual hard disk. Please see the description below: (Resource: BitLocker support in a virtual machine (2036142))

So please check if it is available to use Bitlocker on data drive and feedback result to us.
