Hello Sam, thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community. I am here to help and provide assistance with any questions or concerns you may have.

Have you tried connecting another device to that monitor? Just to check if the monitor is working properly.

Hey Sam, Koorui is known for her screens going black out of nowhere. If you reset the frequency to 60hz in the settings, they will work again. So just don't buy Koorui screens because they are not good quality.

Experiencing a black screen on a new monitor despite it having power and being properly connected can be frustrating, but there are several troubleshooting steps you can take to identify and resolve the issue. Here's a guide to help you troubleshoot:

    1. Check the Basics:

    • Ensure that the monitor's power cable is securely connected to both the monitor and a working power outlet.
    • Verify that the video cable (HDMI, DisplayPort, etc.) is securely connected to both the monitor and your computer's graphics card or integrated graphics.

    2. Cycle Power:

    • Turn off the monitor and unplug it from the power source.
    • Wait for about 10-15 seconds and then plug it back in and turn it on.
    • This can sometimes reset the monitor and resolve minor issues.

    3. Try a Different Port:

    • If your graphics card has multiple video output ports, try using a different port on the graphics card.

    4. Check Monitor Input Source:

    • Ensure that the monitor is set to the correct input source (e.g., HDMI, DisplayPort).
    • Use the monitor's on-screen menu to navigate and select the correct input source.

    5. Test with Another Device:

    • Connect the monitor to another device, such as a laptop or a different computer, to see if it displays anything.
    • This helps determine whether the issue is with the monitor or the computer.

    6. Graphics Card Drivers:

    • Ensure that your graphics card drivers are up to date. Visit the official website of your graphics card manufacturer (NVIDIA, AMD, Intel) and download the latest drivers.

    7. Boot into Safe Mode:

    • Restart your computer and boot into Safe Mode. If the monitor works in Safe Mode, it could indicate a driver issue.

    8. Check Resolution Settings:

    • In case the resolution settings are incompatible with the monitor, boot into Safe Mode and adjust the display resolution to a standard setting supported by the monitor.

    9. Inspect for Physical Damage:

    • Carefully inspect the monitor for any physical damage, including the screen and the ports.

    10. Monitor Reset:

    - Check the monitor's manual for instructions on performing a factory reset. This can often be done through the monitor's on-screen menu.

    11. Contact Manufacturer Support:

    - If the issue persists, especially with a new monitor, consider reaching out to the manufacturer's customer support for assistance.

By going through these steps, you should be able to identify whether the issue lies with the monitor, the computer, or the cables. If the problem persists, and the monitor is still under warranty, contacting the manufacturer's support would be a good next step.
