Hi, Supporter,

I used the windows 10 upgrade assistant to upgrade windows 10 from 1909 to build 2004. I came out with the following message:

Your PC settings aren't supported yet on this version of Windows 10. Microsoft is working to support your settings soon. No action is needed. Windo10840-setuperr.txtws Update will offer this version of Windows 10 automatically when these settings are supported

Could you help me bypass this error? Any solutions?

've experienced the same thing with 1 of the 30 Asus T101H tablets we have at work. I've upgraded 24 of them successfully but this 1 tablet will not upgrade. No idea why. These tablets were all purchased at the same time.

Might want to wait for a bit longer, as the update 2004 has some issues still.

I'm having the same issue and I'm on a brand new XPS 17 w/ Windows 10 Pro. Even if 2004 has a few bugs there should still be a way to update to it right? I'm still curious on what the issue is

It's the same for my brand new XPS 17 + Win 10 Pro oneezy. It's not a very helpful message. I had a look in the C:\Windows10Upgrade folder for an explanation and I did find a logfile called upgrader_default but it didn't make much sense to me and had some nonsensical timestamps which appear to be some hours in the future according to the clock time. There are some errors in there but nothing that immediately stood out as an explanation.

My guess would be that there is some kind of check in the upgrade which, even though the message says the issue is settings it's something to do with the Dell not having completed some process yet for the upgrade to be supported by MS. It's a bit disappointing.

Seems to be a general problem with brand new Dell hardware. I'm typing this on a brand-new Inspiron which similarly refuses to update to version 2004. Thing is, I reinstalled Windows from scratch to get rid of the Dell bloatware, so I know that it's not something weird or special about my Windows installation. It's the same version that I installed on my NUC which upgraded fine to 2004. The only thing added after install and before the attempt to upgrade was the Dell hardware drivers, which, I suspect, are the real culprit here -- likely Dell hasn't yet delivered 2004 versions of those to Microsoft.

I actually need the update because some system apps have stopped working. Like apps not opening and the task manager unable detect startup apps. I believe the update can resolve the issues but I am unable to do it. I need the update is there any option other than waiting?
