Hi , if someone have a solution please can you share.
Printers showing as "HP LaserJet M101-M106
Noticed this yesterday on multiple machines,
When viewing devices in the old Devices and Printers window, the printer icons are all HP printers including the built in Windows ones such as "Microsoft Print to PDF", and the "Model" also reads "HP LaserJet M101-M106" for all of them.
When viewing the Printer Properties, the driver and everything is accurate, so I'm thinking this is just a bug that was pushed out by Microsoft.
Is anyone experiencing this issue ?

2023-12-14T07:22:51+00:00 Good day
There is currently not a simple solution, as Microsoft is aware of this issue, but they still have no update fix for this.
I managed to fix it myself by following @CarlosUthred solution and it worked for me, however up to now I could not get my Canon printer manufacturers icon to view? But all the rest of the icons shows the MS system icons as it normally shows and no more "HP Laserjet M101-M106" metadata. After the "2023-12 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5033375)" update yesterday, no fix was part of the update.

2023-12-30T11:27:46+00:00 Hi Hernán R. Sáez Talavera
Thanks for the link, however I did try this before and got the "Troubleshooter not applicable since metadata package not found" as I re-installed all my printers manually again.
But, for some reason any printer's manufacturer's icons are not being updated even if my "Device Installation Settings" is active??
