I have heard lots of software's which seem to boost the overall performance of the computer and was wondering if it is safe to use them and can they prove to be useful or is it best to just manually do it with the tools already available in Windows 10?

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

You should never use a PC Optimizer utility with Windows, they are basically utilities that clean out the registry and clean the disk.

The problem is Windows is updated so often, the developers of those utilities cannot keep up with all the changes to the system files and the registry and have been known to corrupt the registry or delete necessary system files and can cause BSOD's..

Also, never, ever, use a utility to update your drivers.

Windows is now very good at self-management, those utilities are not necessary, just keep Windows fully up to date and maybe once a month, run the Disk Cleanup utility to clear user files and also System files that can be safely deleted form you drive.
