How to migrate the users' appdata redirected folder into the .VHDX FSLogix profile disk?
I successfully copied with "copyto-vhd" the appdata folder into the .vhdx profile disk but it's not working (appdata preferences, such as icon cache, taskbar settings, ...) are not retained.
AppData is currently being redirected to a network path via standard GPO
Users are working on Windows 10, with FSlogix disks for their Profiles and O365 Cloud Cache.
If there's the possibility to migrate the appdata into the users' VHDX profile disk, what is the correct procedure to do that?

1.What's your registry configuration of fslogix?
2.Can you turn off folder redirection with GPO and check if the AppData will be mounted into fslogix vhd?
By default the profile container VHD will contain the entire Windows profile for the user, except for:
The TEMP (TMP) folder location
The IE Cache folder location
3.Did you try to use the redirections.xml file to sync the contents of these folders to and from the profile container?

and to add, it seems redirected AppData cannot be migrated to fslogix. Please first try to disable the redirection for AppData in your test environment to see if it gives the expected outcome. Redirected folders will work for e.g. Downloads, Favorites, Documents etc. but AppData is a different story. Thank you.

Correct me if I'm wrong, the appdata can't be migrated from the original profile into the vhdx fslogix profile?

We mean the redirected AppData folder cannot be migrated to fslogix vhd. So you need to disable the redirection for AppData and then check the original appdata folder can be mounted into fslogix vhd or not.
