How to stop printing GET /eSCL/ScannerStatus HTTP/1.1 Host: localhost

Same question, just new day. Does anyone have a "real" solution to the constant printing of GET /eSCL/ScannerStatus HTTP/1.1 Host: localhost? I have a Brother printer, but it appears it happens with most printers. I'm wasting about 40 pages a month to this nonsense.

Same problem with an Epson printer. Calling Epson hasn't helped. Tried everything that has been mentioned previously (https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/printer-constantly-prints-get-esclscannerstatus/fec2a455-8b89-4b06-ba4f-e4f7cc8e0c8d?page=13) and nothing has changed.

Is this a Windows issue or a printer issue?

I have 3 HP printers and it is only happening on the one that is directly connected via USB (no other option) and it is an HP Laserjet Enterprise M55. HP's only solution (after updating drivers 100 times, deleting and uninstalling and reinstalling at least as many times) is to unplug the USB...the printer doesn't function at all wirelessly. The other 2 printers are inkjets, both HP. HP has no solution and MS has no solution. I would love to hear from someone who has it directly connected via USB who has found a solution!

PaulAnderson7144--did the solution help you? I have gotten no solution to my issue. There isn't even a YouTube regarding this and our geek we hire for other issues is having the same trouble on his Canon. This has been going on for me ever since I upgraded to Windows 11 last fall and it has never been fixed. HP has an entire thread dedicated to this issue and the solutions being offered are simply to unplug USB, which sure, I can do that and I guarantee it would solve my issue...my printer is not a wireless enabled printer. It can only run on USB so sure, that would solve the issue. That solution was given to me by HP TECH SUPPORT. So I am waiting for someone to figure this out who is a regular Joe like the rest of us.

THANK YOU to K0MB!! I have a Brother laser printer that no longer connects wirelessly, so I've got it hooked up by USB instead. It kept printing out those annoying ScannerStatus notices. I followed K0MB's link to Brother's solution to the problem and it works. No more wasted paper! Here's the link: https://help.brother-usa.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/183921/
