I went through all recommended fixes on my Brother MFC-L2820; nothing works. I'm returning the printer. MS really ought to fix this. Meanwhile what other brands does anyone recommend for a multipurpose B&W laser printer for home use?
Issues with Brother Full Driver & Software Package Installation on Windows 11
Dear Sir/Madam,
I recently purchased a new computer and have encountered difficulties when attempting to install the Brother Full Driver & Software Package. When I initiate the installation, nothing transpires; the installation program doesn't launch. I've tried manually initiating both "start.exe" and "InstUI.exe" and even opted to "Run as Administrator," yet still no response or activation of the installation process.
To troubleshoot, I followed the steps to boot the PC in Clean Boot mode, as outlined in a previous thread on your forum, but regrettably, this didn't offer a solution. Since the initial installation attempt, I've consistently updated Windows 11 and am currently operating on 22H2, OS build 22621.2283. Despite these updates, the Brother software remains unresponsive and refuses to run.
I'm reaching out to ascertain if there have been any identified solutions or fixes for this particular issue. I assume that I'm not the sole user experiencing these challenges.
Thank you in advance for your assistance and support. I look forward to your guidance on this matter.

2025-04-26T12:23:23+00:00 I know the question is not directed at me - but me personally I have the MFC-L3750CDW. I saw that Brother has released an updated installer, which still does not work, or rather the program just doesn't want to execute/run. I have manually installed both the printer and the scanner driver which was a tedious process as when you unpack and sift through the drivers, they are labelled/named in such a way that does not make any logical sense. I could do the uninstall (as was recommended), but since I got the iPrint&Scan app working, this is a step I don't want to do; especially since I cannot remember which steps precisely I took to "force install" the drivers - old school way. I don't get it - I mean this issue has persisted now for what - a year or more?

2025-03-08T23:38:36+00:00 The full software package on my brother printer would not install on my Surface 11. After contacting brother they finally attributed this to the snapdragon chip. They suggested monitoring their web site for updates. Small consolation!
