What can I do to get the " Getting Windows ready Dont turn off" keeps going around long time

Question

Hello, I have windows 10 22H2 HDD and I saw the restart now button so i clicked it. but as soon as i clicked it i still saw 1 of the KB updates was still at 25% installing so now its just Getting ready for 45 minutes now.

Is there any way I can get out of this getting ready dont turn off and see if that KB would finish installing then i hope the restart button will come back up or what can you help me to fix this?

I just did a restart and then it took a long time but it finally went to 100% then pc restarted and finished installing the update.

But my problem with my old windows 10 22H2 is that each update I get it downloads the KB files to 100% then it installs the KB files to 100% then it should say restart computer now but what happens each KB update  my pc re-downloads each KB again then re-installs each KB file then the pc finally says do I want to restart it and i restart pc. . then the restart takes for ever to get to 100% then I can sign back in to use it.

I hope someone knows why each KB file update it downloads 2 times and installs 2 times before it says to restart pc?

And now I am wandering why 2 months ago I did not get the 23H2 update. my windows 10 is still at 22H2.

 does anyone know how I can get the update KB update file to get 23H2 on  my windows 10?

it is recommended to wait patiently for about 2-­3 hours. After the period of time, if getting Windows ready is still stuck there, stop waiting and move on to troubleshooting steps.

Shut down your PC and power reset it

Delete problematic update files

Perform a system restore or reset

I think that people still running windows 10 are deliberately being slowed down by these nonsensical continuous updates. They want you to run Windows 11 and if the device is not compatible with running windows 11 then they want you to upgrade your computer. I have full fibre broadband and don’t have any issues with my I phone only when trying to do work on my pc, which is now almost impossible as I have been deliberately slowed down and impossible to use the broadband for browsing.

+1e38. Windows 10 and from what I hear about Windows 11 are not fit for professional, technical computing.

The "Be patient, and wait" option, seems to be the safest solution. It took my system close to 2 hours, but it finally finished and seems fine. (restarted again right away, just to be sure, and everything seems to be fine)
