Remote Desktop for Mac Crashes when local camera is accessed

Hi there,

I am using Version 10.6.6 (1883) of the Remote Desktop client on my Mac with Big Sur installed to connect to a Windows 10 laptop. This generally works well, however the client crashes whenever I try to use the local camera (the one in my Mac) in the Microsoft Teams application of my Windows laptop.

The camera is being passed through and I can see it in Device Manager on Windows and as an option in Teams. Other items like audio and microphone seem to pass through fine.

Does anyone else have this issue?

Thank you

Kev

    Hello @Kevin Doran ,

    Thanks for your query.

Currently, Media optimization for Microsoft Teams is only available for the Windows Desktop client on Windows 10 machines. Media optimizations require Windows Desktop client version 1.2.1026.0 or later.
Windows Virtual Desktop doesn't support macOS and Linux-based clients at this time.
