Hello,
System information:
HP Envy 15m-dr1012dx, with user upgrade to 24 gb of ram
Windows 10 22H2 with the most recent April patch.
Bitlocker is turned on.
specs:
10510u with integrated graphics, touch screen, 1080p 60hz, 512 GB of storage with 32 GB of optane, and 24 GB ddr4 @ 2667 MHZ
I am currently using a HP laptop, specifically the HP Envy 15m-dr1012x that I've had for a couple of years now. I am running into issues with Windows automatic update as it keeps on trying to install older drivers for the integrated graphics for the 10510u. But I already have the newest driver version, which is 31.0.101.2121. It does not recognize that my new drivers are in fact, newer than the one that is listed on the Microsoft Update Catalog. It does this update automatically, as per normal for drivers, and it has been quite annoying as I would have installed the driver 5 hours ago and then suddenly Windows decides that it is a good idea for it to suddenly download an older driver because apparently it does not recognize the fact that people can get drivers directly from the device maker, and do not always have to go through the middle man of Microsoft. I already have tried registry edit, disabling automatic installation of new drivers for devices. But all have failed to do so, I would appreciate some help in stopping automatic updates from updating to older drivers.
