Skype for Business 2015. Persistant chat does not send files with names in Cyrillic

Hello. We have Skype for Business 2015 server Standart on Windows server 2012. The Persistant chat role has been launched. Users have installed Skype® for Business 2016 MSO (16.0.14026.20202) 64-bit.

When you send a file with a name in Cyrillic to the chat, after a few minutes in the chat window there is an error "Action failed. Please try again later". Chat participants do not receive the file and message.

After sending, the file is saved on the server in the folder "C: \ Share \ 1-PersistentChatService-17 \ PersistentChat \ e3db603e-6f7a-48a2-90c5-9d0f023523b4"

When viewing the log file "C: \ Users \ user \ AppData \ Local \ Microsoft \ Office \ 16.0 \ Lync \ Tracing \ Lync-UccApi-0.UccApilog" you can see that the file name is converted from "два.txt" (UTF-8 ) in "РґРІР ° .txt" (Windows-1251)

Please help me find a solution to the problem

Have you tried to change another device to see if works?

I did a test in my environment but we could upload files named два normally. To exclude the client cache file, we recommend you try to clear your client cache file by following these tips:

1)Log out of Skype for Business
2)Delete any sign-in information
3)Exit Skype for Business
4)Navigate to Users > [Your Username] > AppData > Local > Microsoft > Office > 15.0 > Lync
5)Delete the sip_profileName folder
6)Delete all files in Tracing folder. Do not delete the folder itself
7)Navigate to Users > [Your Username] > AppData > Local > Microsoft > Office > 16.0 > Lync
8)Delete the sip_profileName folder
9)Delete all files in Tracing folder. Do not delete the folder itself
10Open the command prompt and run ipconfig /flushdns

If you open the log file "C: \ Users \ user \ AppData \ Local \ Microsoft \ Office \ 16.0 \ Lync \ Tracing \ Lync-UccApi-0.UccApilog" using the "Snooper" program, you can see an additional event associated with a file transfer error

I searched the error message from your provided log but did not find this information from logs. I guess the persistent chat server may not identify this character but now we have no valuable solutions for it. Could you try to check if there are any error messages about front end server or persistent chat server from the event viewer?

No errors related to my problem were found on the server. I have searched in Event Viewer.

Good day. I have exactly the same problem. My SFB client version is 16.0.5161.1000. Do you have any update about this issue?
