Question

Removing PxHlpa64.sys disables all my DVD drives.

How many years does it take to fix this problem.

Sorry for the late reply.

According to the "PxHlpa64.sys" driver properties, the file copyright is owned by Rovi Corporation.

Anyway, can you try this method? (Create a System Restore point before proceeding)

> Open File Explorere, go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers, rename PxHlpa64.sys to PxHlpa64.sys.old

> Open Registry Editor(), go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > System > CurrentControlSet > Control > Class

> Right-click: 4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318 > Click Export to backup the registry key.

> After that, double-click CDROM class: 4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318

> Delete LowerFilters.

> Close Registry Editor and restart the PC.

> See if you can enable Memory Integrity and still use the DVD drive.

I doubt if the driver will ever be updated. Sonic Solutions was bought out by another company years ago.

Microsoft supplies drivers for my mouse, keyboard, DVDs, etc. I can't figure out why PxHlpa64.sys is even required.

I should have gone one step further and clicked driver details. It looks like Microsoft actually supplies PxHlpa64.sys that is the problem.
