Removing PxHlpa64.sys disables all my DVD drives.

How many years does it take to fix this problem.

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply.

According to the "PxHlpa64.sys" driver properties, the file copyright is owned by Rovi Corporation.

Anyway, can you try this method? (Create a System Restore point before proceeding)

> Open File Explorere, go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers, rename PxHlpa64.sys to PxHlpa64.sys.old

> Open Registry Editor(), go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > System > CurrentControlSet > Control > Class

> Right-click: 4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318 > Click Export to backup the registry key.

> After that, double-click CDROM class: 4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318

> Delete LowerFilters.

> Close Registry Editor and restart the PC.

> See if you can enable Memory Integrity and still use the DVD drive.

    I just installed a new laptop with win 11. Nothing out of the ordinary until I added an external DVD-RW from Dell. The driver incompatibility message popped up the next time I restarted. Your fix above resolved the error msg and the DVD works fine.

    Hi Boulder,

    I'm Paul and I'm here to help you with your concern.

    There are only 2 options to solve this kind of issue. Uninstall the driver if you are not using the device or wait for an update from the device manufacturer.

    Since it disables your DVD drives, uninstalling it is not applicable to you.

    I think you can only wait for Sonic Solutions to release an update for this device.
