I need to extract files with 7Zip but i cant

I downloaded something and it needs to be extracted with 7 Zip. (Ive extraced with 7Zip before) If I download anything now, it has the internet explorer icon on it. when i right click and hit "exract here" it does nothing and when i just try to double click it nothing happens becouse it is set to "open with internet explorer." i have no idea what it was supposed to originally open with. how do i set it back to normal so i can extract my downloaded files properly

    Hi , Owen.

    I am Ivan, I will help you with this.

    1. On the Start menu, select Settings > Apps > Default apps.
    2. click options "Restore Microsoft recommended defaults"
    3. Click reset.

    Then go to the zip file, click on the properties tab, on the open with tab, select change and then select 7-zip.
