PS5 Controller is not working anymore as it used to on windows 10 & 11

My PS5 controller used to work fine with steam even in spiderman and Guardians of the galaxy had haptic feedback. Suddenly is not working as it used to. When I try to play Hogwarts on steam when I press R2 repeatedly, it has a delay. I tried use it both via USB and via Bluetooth. When I open the Firmware PS5 program to check for update, the program is not responding. I tried in another computer and it is works fine. When I try to open Spiderman with the controller connected via USB, it freezes and won't open. I uninstalled the controller, I reboot the PC and still works not fine. It is recognized from my windows 11 (I updated from 10 to 11 and still it has the same issues) as audio device or as other device (if i disable it as audio) but no as input device as is my xbox controller.

Probably this happened after an windows updated or armoury crate upodates. I have asus MB. The same day that I have issues with my PS5 controller, I had issues with my Corsair keyboard. It wasn't recognized by iCue program so I can change the RGB. It made me frustrated not able to change rgb and keep flashing in my face so I changed the keyboard with Logitech that I had.

Can anyone help me please? I like playing with both controllers (xbox and ps5) but I like using the ps5 controller when i want to play ps5 games.

    Hi , ApostolosGeorgakopoulos.

I am Ivan, I will help you with this.

I had a similar problem with the Dualsense 5, I had to uninstall its driver in Windows with STEAM closed, then use another USB-C cable to connect and reinstall the driver, then I just updated the controller.

This worked for a while until the same thing happened and then I started using Dualsense X to solve the problem definitively.

    Hello Mr  Ivan,

How do I uninstall its drivers? just remove the device through device manager?

    Yours sincerely,
    Apostolos Georgakopoulos

    Hi , ApostolosGeorgakopoulos.

In the Control Panel, under Hardware and Sound, select Devices and Printers.

Right-click on the Wireless Controller and select remove device and check delete driver.

That's odd. You should never have to go into Device Manager for the PS5 controller. There's something else going on with both of your computers. I've never seen this with Windows 10 nor Windows 11.

A remapper application is needed anyway to get it working with games that don't support it out of the box which happens to be most. Whether that's Dualsense X, DS4Windows, Steam, or some other one.

BTW, Steam's own remapper sees updates at times so it also sees its own problems. Its not really anything different from Dualsense X or DS4Windows other than its built into Steam and sees its own bugs. I don't know if the issue is there for you. You can also update the controller's firmware when connecting it directly to a PS5. You can also try a Steam beta and see if that helps or one of the other separate application ones and disable Steam's internal one. But, you might have some other issue going on with that computer.

I had no problems with steam games as steam helps to play the games with no problem. Now I was playing again Hogwarts via Bluetooth with ps5 controller and everything was fine. But when I connect via USB is not fine. Via Bluetooth when I go to the Bluetooth & Devices, I find my controller in the Input category. When I connect it with USB it is in the Audio category. If I disable it as Audio device, it goes to the other devices category.
