How to activate Windows XP WinXP in 2023 after Servers and Phonelines are shut down ?

Question

We need to activate our Windows XP after a Change of Motherboard.

! ! ! Please no lections about "Why we still use WinXP" ! ! !

We know all about it. It is just used offline in a protected environment.

We need to run a software which does not run on newer Windows Versions.

Since there is no Solution for that, WinXP is just required.

After the change of the Mainboard + CPU + RAM WinXP needs re-Activation.

Servers and Phonelines are down.

How can we do it.

PS: Microsoft Support on this Matter was simply poor.

They let their customers down with no Solution what so ever.

Really Disappointing. When shutting down the activation servers,

they could at least offer a Solution for people to use.

Here in Germany it is not allowed to bind a License to a specific hardware.

That was ruled years ago.

So, Yes I can change the Motherboard and still use the same License.

Thats also why you can still buy these Licenses online.

So the Question remains:

How do I activate the WinXP.

With the original Code or different Code, we have few to choose from.

Microsoft should offer a Solution since they sold the Software, but they are not.

If they shut down their WinXp-Activation-Servers and Phone-Lines, they should offer a Solution

for the few Customers who are unable to use newer Version of Windows with certain Apps.

If you ask Microsoft-Customer-Service they seem to know nothing about this matter.

So there is no official statement except to upgrade to newer Version.

Microsoft simply refuces to accept the Fact that some Apps won't work on newer Windows,

which makes me wonder, because it seems it was made that way on purpose.

I tried that already.

On the Chat:

A very unfriendly Woman kept telling me to Upgrage to Windows 10 / 11 even though I told her in the Beginning that this would not be an Option since the App is not running there. She ignored that or maybe did not read it at all or maybe the Upgrage-Recommandation is the only thing they usually tell Customers they do not want to help because it's not how they like things to be.

On the Phone:

A very unfriendly Man kept telling me that he is not allowed to activate my WinXP and that this would be the Microsoft Policy. Before he was on the Phone an automated Voice told me that there would be a Survei after the Conversation, but since the Man hang up on me it never came to that. So thats one Way to make the Service always look good. It was clear that the Man did not want to help me even though it would have been technically possible.

I'm out of Options now.

If I need new Software in the Future it will not be from Microsoft.

Not at Home and not in our Company.

its most likely because its just too good.

Of course you can buy Software without Hardware too.

But still the LAW here does not allow to bind hardware to software.

That is how it is here in Germany.

Microsoft also told me that a Motherboard or Hardware change was possible.

I told them and they said its ok. However they can not activate it because

they simply do not want to. We should buy newer Windows, thats their

only Solution. Sadly Win10/11 is so uncomfortable that most people can

not handle it. Also many old Apps are not supported. And todays Windows

likes to destroy itself after 1 Year by getting so slow using 100% of CPU

and (!) Hard-Disk so that the Computer is completely unuseable.

So its their own fault when People can not use that anymore.

Its really sad.

You can not replace the Motherboard with an OEM preinstalled License with whatever Motherboard you wish to when you have a preinstalled OEM License (HP, Acer, etc)

You have to follow the directives or you void your OEM License.

If you bought and installed your own Retail Windows License, you can change Motherboards, but doing that will now require a Phone Activation
