Hi,
R. Cord here, Independent Expert. Hope you are doing well.
Searchapp.exe is a system process that's responsible for the Windows Search feature on your computer. If it's not working properly, it can affect your ability to search for files and programs on your computer.
Here are some steps you can try to enable the searchapp.exe process:
Restart your computer - Sometimes, restarting your computer can fix issues with system processes.
Check if Windows Search is enabled - To do this, go to the Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows features on or off. Make sure the box next to Windows Search is checked.
Run the Search and Indexing troubleshooter - This troubleshooter can help diagnose and fix problems with Windows Search. To run it, go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Search and Indexing.
Restart the Search service - To do this, open the Services app (type "services" in the Start menu search bar) and look for the "Windows Search" service. Right-click on it and select "Restart".
Reset the Windows Search index - This will clear the search index and rebuild it from scratch. To do this, go to Settings > Search > Searching Windows > Advanced Search Indexer Settings > Advanced > Rebuild.
With best Regards,
R. Cord
