This all started when I was trying to reset my windows 11 hp laptop because I had a problem with the audio but now I'm stop in a loop of BSOD and the error code Error Code: 0xc0000001 I tried every solution I have seen on the internet and tried with hp live chat. I can't enter safe mode either because it gives me the BSOD. I even tried resetting the whole laptop itself because I'm so desperate to just be able to use my laptop.

    1. Find a bootable flash drive with free space
    2. Find a working Windows computer
    3. Insert the bootable flash drive with free space into the applicable port on the working Windows computer and download and install onto the flash drive: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp144501-145000/sp144997.exe
    4. Move the bootable flash drive with the HP bootable hardware diagnostics to the applicable port on the problematic computer
    5. Power on the computer and repetitively click F9
    6. Open the HP bootable hardware diagnostics > system > extensive > run in loop until error > allow it to run overnight while sleeping > the next day if it has made two or more loops > click esc > take pictures of the tests performed with results > post images or share links into this thread

If there were any detected hardware problems the test is designed to abort and post an error message and / or code. If there is any error message or code take pictures and post images or share links into this thread

For share links please use one drive, drop box, or google drive.

    Hi Keona,

I'm Sumit, here to answer your query at the Microsoft Community.

Do the any options appear if you press F8?

You will need a recovery drive unfortunately. The worst case will be you will need to format the laptop but you will be able to save the files.

If you get a screen that says you need to use Recovery tools, you need another computer to create a recovery/installation media. You may also need to use Installation media if the Windows Recovery environment says your password is incorrect.

How to Create Bootable USB Flash Drive to Install Windows 11

    https://www.yourwindowsguide.com/2021/09/create...

Boot from the USB Flash drive: Make sure you have disabled Secure boot/Fast boot in BIOS Settings and change the boot order if required.

When you have successfully booted from the Installation media, click Repair your computer at the first screen after choosing the keyboard layout.

    1. Use Startup repair: The first option you can try is to use Startup repair, which automatically detects problems and fixes them. Depending on the severity of the problem, it may or may not be successful.
    2. Uninstall Updates

The second step you can try is to uninstall the latest updates if Windows fails to start after installing updates.

    Choose Uninstall Updates.

Uninstall the update based on what was installed – a feature or quality update. Usually, the former is responsible.

    1. CHKDSK:

If uninstalling did not help and is unrelated, the next step is to try using a Disk Check.

Choose Command Prompt in the list of troubleshooting.

Get the Current Windows Installation drive letter, which is either C, D, or E, Type BCDEDIT, and Press Enter. Note the letter.

    Enter the command given below:

chkdsk X: /f /r (Replace X with the Current Windows Install Letter)

You would see the output and restart the PC to check when done.

4.Another try you can give to fix is SFC SCANNOW through Offboot switch. For this follow the steps below:

First, find the Windows Install drive letter using BCDEDIT command.

Then, try entering the following command:

    sfc /scannow /offbootdir=C:\ /offwindir=C:\Windows

After the scan completes you would see the results.

You can also try using DISM: dism /image:C:\ /cleanup-image /revertpendingactions

    1. Reset this PC or clean install.

The last Step is a Reset. The catch with Reset is, all applications would be removed and files would be kept(you would be presented with the option to erase everything). Also, for this step, A healthy Reset Image is required, which maybe would be affected by corruption. To conclude, If you are using Installation media, you can do a clean install after rescuing your files.
