Greetings,

I just built a new PC with Windows 11, everything is working smoothly, however, my internet connection keeps disconnecting and reconnecting randomly (every few minutes/seconds).

I am using Ethernet BTW, but my PC has Wifi as well (Which is disconnected)

I really don't know what's the issue,

Things I have tried:

  • Updating drivers
  • Not allowing PC to shut down the internet for power saving
  • Using windows troubleshooter

can you help me, please.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I have fixed the issue with my new PC (ASUS Z790-F, Windows 11)

After a clean reset of my new PC, I installed the Drivers again, but the issue still occurred, however,

I did do several steps and the issue has been fixed.

1st Step: go to Device Manager > expand the Network Adapters > Right click on the (Intel Ethernet Controller I226-V) > Properties > Advanced > Energy Efficient Ethernet (Turn it Off)> then click OK

2nd Step: go to Device Manager > expand the Network Adapters > Right click on the (Intel Ethernet Controller I226-V) > Properties > Advanced > scroll down > select Speed & Duplex > set it to 1.0Gbps Full Duplex > then click OK

3rd step: > go to Device Manager > expand the Network Adapters > Right click on the (Intel Ethernet Controller I226-V) > Properties > Power Management > Un-Tick the box beside "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" > then click OK

Restart the PC, and the problem has gone

    Hello AbdullaAlHameli, welcome to the Microsoft community, I'll be happy to help you today;

    I understand that the internet automatically disconnects on your Windows 11 PC;

    What exactly is the model and manufacturer of the motherboard?

    Before answering the question, I suggest you check if your Windows is up to date;

    Press Windows key + i and go to Windows Update;

    Click Check for updates and do ALL pending updates;

    Reset the network;

    Press Windows key + i and go to Network and internet;

    Click Advanced Network Settings;

    Click on Network reset and then on Reset now;

    Before restarting the PC, perform a clean boot;

    Press the keys: Ctrl+Shift+Esc to access the task manager;

    Click Startup and disable all programs that start with Windows;

    Restart the PC and check if the problem still persists;

    See you soon!

    Hello LuizScruz.

    I just performed what you suggested, and rebooted the PC.

    Mobo is Asus Stirx Z790-F

    and the drop in connection just happened again for a few seconds and came back.

    Dear AbdullaAlHameli,I'm sorry the suggestions didn't work;

    In this case, I recommend downloading MyAsus to update all the PC's drivers (mainly network drivers):

    https://apps.microsoft.com/store/detail/myasus/...

    Run the troubleshooter for Network Adapter;

    Press Windows key + i and go to System;

    Click on Troubleshooting and then on Other Troubleshooters;

    Locate Network Adapter and click Run on the right;

    Do the same process in Internet Connections;

    Check if the problem is fixed;

    Hope this helps, see you soon!

    I have just downloaded the MyAsus , and found two LAN drivers, which one should I download?

    Please note that the one already available on my PC is the second one (Intel LAN Driver V1.1.3.28)

    Also, note that I have done the troubleshooting for both Internet Connections & Network adapter, and the above prompt showed up.

    Please note the same problem of Internet disconnection and Reconnection still persists

    Dear AbdullaAlHameli,in this case I suggest you try installing the first driver on the V2.1.2.3 list;

    After installing the driver, restart the PC and check if the disconnection problem still persists;
