Please help with Windows 11 BSOD: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT ntoskrnl.exe and Ntfs.sys

Hi,

I've recently built a new PC and have done a fresh install of windows 11. Everything was going well, I updated the windows version and drivers, downloaded chrome, downloaded some games. While playing a game my computer crashed and restarted with no BSOD. I checked the minidump and found that it was a memory management error supposedly caused by ntoskrnl.exe. at this point I looked up some troubleshooting steps for this error, I did "sfc /SCANNOW" in command line which did repair some files, did a memory check using the "windows memory diagnostic" app (this said the memory was without errors), and I did "chkdsk C: /f" in command line. All in that order. when rebooting after the chkdsk, I got the memory management error again right after signing in, this time associated with ntfs.sys. On the next two restarts I got the memory management error accompanied with BSOD. the minidump files will be included below.

All of this was a long way of saying I need help. I'm not sure what specifically is causing this error and any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if any more details would help. Thanks!

This minidump folder has the minidump files in order of occurrence (1-4):

For anyone in the future who is reading this, the problem is fixed. I went to Microcenter, and explained to them what I explained here. They said 9/10 times if the pc can't install windows it's a processor issue. I replaced the processor and motherboard, I've had no more issues so far. Problem solved.

Hi and thanks for reaching out. My name is Bernard a Windows fan like you. I'll be happy to help you out today.

I understand the issue you have, there is nothing to worry I am here to help, upon analyzing and checking the DMP files, the error you have is hardware_ram, this means there is a problem with the RAM itself or the RAM slot on the motherboard, in this case, I highly suggest contacting a local technician to physically check the device as it is a hardware problem, it might need a RAM replacement or try to change the slot of RAM and check it again, if same issue occurs, visiting a local technician will be the next step.

Let me know how it goes and I hope that helps.

    Bernard

Thanks, it might take me some time to reproduce the error or be sure the error is gone. I'll post when I have some results or when I know everything is working fine. I appreciate the help!

Hi, yes, there are 4 slots in your motherboard for RAM, try to change the slot of your RAM and check it again, or try just 1 RAM stick and check if the Bluescreen persists, by that you can identify if one of your RAM is not working well if ever you still getting an error, it might be the board itself, which you need to visit a local technician for them to run the hardware test.

    Hi Bernard,

Thanks for the quick reply. Is there any way that I could check the RAM myself? I can also just return and exchange the RAM if that is the best course of action.

On another note, do you think XMP could be the problem? I had it enabled when I was getting the crashes.

    Thanks!
