Restrict OneDrive to on-premise SharePoint 2019 Only

Hi,

I'm working in an environment with an on-premise SharePoint 2019 server. I have configured OneDrive to sync with the SharePoint environment and this is working well.

I have also configured OneDrive via GPO to deny users from syncing OneDrive with personal accounts.

My question is: Is there a GPO or registry setting which will block all cloud OneDrive sync capabilities?

We have contractors who have OneDrive accounts with other Azure/O365 tenants, and we do not want OneDrive in this domain to be able to sync with these.

The GPO option "Allow syncing OneDrive accounts for only specific organisations" does not seem to allow us to specify an on-prem server.

Thanks,
Victor.

    Hi @Victor Miller ,

I'm afraid there is no GPO or registry setting can block OneDrive sync capabilities. As said in Block syncing OneDrive accounts for specific organizations and Allow syncing OneDrive accounts for only specific organizations, you have to specify tenant IDs to enable these settings which means that these settings that make use of it should be considered non-applicable as there is no Tenant ID with SharepOint on-premise.

The only alternative method I could think of is that you can disable Offline Client Availability on each site via go to site settings -> Search and Offline Availability.
