I do not know why I see this annoying behaviour.
I open TFS and I work on a cube, I modify it, but then I decide to close it without saving.
Every time I do this, I seepending changes:
This is very irritiating since I expect to see the "pending change" whenever I actually save a change but not check in...
Why I see this behaviour?
(I work mostly with SSAS, working on cubes).

From SSAS side , it is hard to do anything about this. I think this is more a TFS or VS extension UI issue? (not quite sure here)
But as I think it does not impact your development or other work on this solution , maybe we could leave it this way?
I added vs extension tag , see if any ideal could be given from vs side.
I have just added the tag :)
I guess this issue is not quite major to the VS team, if it does annoy you very much, you could raise ticket with MS support, see if they know anything about this.
