Windows 10 "Bluetooth Audio Gateway Service" needs frequent restarting.  W10 version 20H2.

Listening to audio on any BT headset and the sound just stops.  I can restart the service and it works again for a while.

What can I do to resolve this ongoing issue?

Hello Microsvc, I will be happy to help you solve this problem.

Option 1: Update the driver using Device Manager.

    1. In Start, type administrator and click Device Manager.
    2. Find the Sound, video and game controllers branch. Then extend it and right-click on the sound controller. Next, click on the option: Update driver software.
    3. Easily allow Windows to search for you. Then, click Search automatically for updated driver software.
    4. Wait for the process to finish. Then restart your computer with the following instructions:

To. Press the [Windows] + [X] keys, indicate the option called Shut down or log out and click on the option called Restart.

Second. Allow your computer to restart and do not force shutdown, because the system can take advantage of that moment to install and configure pending updates.

These steps were recommended by a colleague.

I hope I can help you.

That did not work,  it did find an update but the problem just got worse.

I understand W10 is horrible with Bluetooth.

    Alternate suggestions are requested.

Hello, not only did that not work, it broke my microphone audio so now Zoom wont work right.  If Zoom doesn't have a mic, it doesn't have speaker output either.

How do I revert back to my previous driver ASAP????

To roll back to a previous version of a driver

Right-click the device whose driver you want to downgrade, and then click Properties. Click on the Drivers tab. Click Revert to Previous Driver.
