Some days ago I got a popup, about if I agree with the terms of nahimic companion.

I looked and saw it was installed on my pc, I never installed it.

I tried to remove it, but it keeps getting back.

I don't use it, and I don't want it.

Any idea how to remove or that is it required?

Microsoft get rid of this program stop its malware.  You dont care !@!!

You bought a computer that specifically advertises as having premium audio. Nahimic is part of that premium audio. It's part of your computer's audio driver.

Don't blame Microsoft on the fact that it was your choice to buy a computer with premium audio.

Even if you follow the various advices to uninstall Nahimic, the fact that you bought a computer with Nahimic means that your computer will be crippled without Nahimic. Your Realtek Audio Console will not have EQ, loudness equalization, virtual 3D audio, speaker fill... because those functions belong in Nahimic. Uninstalling Nahimic will not bring those functions magically back in the Realtek Audio Console.

Please try System Restore to any other Restore point, when the app wasn't installed. System Restore will remove any apps/folders/files you had recently installed/created and bring back the apps/folders/files you accidentally deleted.

    !!! ATTENTION !!!

Proceed to do this at your own risk. I won't be responsible for destroying your computer, since Registry Editor and service files of Windows is complex to learn.

    1. Uninstall the Nahimic stuff.
    2. Open Run (press Win + R) and type regedit, and hit Enter.
    3. When prompted, click Yes. Now click File >> Export, and select the desired location, then name the backup file with any name. Now, at the very under part of the Export window, click All (under the heading Export range). Click Save after choosing these settings.
    4. Open Find by pressing Ctrl + F and type Nahimic Companion and hit Enter.
    5. Wait for some time until it finds the first Nahimic Registry key.
    6. When it finds one, select the key and click the Del key on your keyboard. Click Yes/OK when prompted.
    7. There's no way to get back other keys of Windows which you have accidentally deleted, but as you have a backup as mentioned before, you're all safe.
    8. After deleting the 1st key, click the F3 key and it will find the 2nd key. Delete it.
    9. Keep on doing this until at the last finding, it shows ' Finished searching through Registry. '.
    10. Try the same again and again with different keywords, like for example (you can try this too, but check the step 7 and think, then do), Nahimic. Then delete it, like mentioned in the previous steps.
    11. Make sure everything's clear there, and quit Registry Editor.
    12. Now, go to the Downloads folder and check if you have anysetup file of Nahimic Companion. If any, delete it for good by pressing Shift + Del. When prompted, click Yes.
    13. Go to C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files (x86) (in the place of C, choose your Windows-installed drive) and search for the folder of Nahimic Companion there. If any, delete them.
    14. Now, go back to the Windows drive, and click on the View tab, and select the option Hidden items to enable the seeing of other hidden system files and folders. Go into the ProgramData folder when it shows the hidden files, and search for Nahimic there, too. Delete, if any.
    15. Go back to the Windows drive, then into Users<yourusernamehere>\AppData\Local, and search for the thing in every folders, even if it's Windows' folders. Delete if found.
    16. Go back to AppData and then into LocalLow, and search the whole folder. Delete.
    17. Back to AppData, then into Roaming, search again, everywhere. Delete.
    18. Once completed, you can quit This PC.
    19. Now reboot your computer.

Check if the app ever comes in again.

Are you using any gaming motherboard like Dell, Gigabyte, AsRock, ThundeRobot, etc? If yes, Nahimic's website said that the app is in those motherboards. Even my PC has it, but there's no app for it, only the services files since I only use Realtek.

If the app doesn't come back again, that's it! You managed to permanently uninstall it!
