Hi,

We've deployed software update group to a collection that has about 800 Server 2016, about 300 device was unable to get the latest CU of May 2021

in the updatestore.log after Initiating an update from CM agent we found that the client receives only 21 updates while the deployment has 28

Update status from update (c2f61a88-730e-47af-8119-6e3b5a789764) already exists, will modify existing instance.

where the GUID belongs to CU MAY 2021

any help please regarding this issue

Thanks

Is it possible that the deployment object (policy) in monitoring shows green? Reason for that may be that servers think they dont need patches. Or new evaluation cycle is not run yet. You actually can specify in client settings that will client perform re-evaluation right after restart initiated by software updates.

    Hi @Ahmed Essam ,

Update status from update (c2f61a88-730e-47af-8119-6e3b5a789764) already exists, will modify existing instance.

That means that the client already scanned for compliance, scanned again now and found out that the state for that patch (installed, required, etc) has changed.

Agree with yannara, we could kick off the updates deployment evaluation cycle to re-evaluation if these updates are already installed on the client.
