I accidentally clicked update to windows 11 and i cant find a cancel button, any help please?

    I too am in the same problem.

    I dont have money to spare on an outside disk to back up my games and desktop programs nor the will to reinstall them.

    all I want is to cancel the update from happening in the first place but I guess someone in windows is just to lazy to let that happen

    1. Does it DOWNLOAD and then the INSTALLATION will start automatically afterwards?

    Or,

    1. does it DOWNLOAD, and then you'll have to click a button to start the INSTALLATION afterwards?

    As of now, I have postponed the DOWNLOAD for a week...

    If 2. is the case, I could DOWNLOAD the file, and then delete it, in stead of INSTALLING.

    Hi, I'm having the same problem but I chose not to upgrade, pause the downloading and go to Recovery > Reset this PC > Get started. This is like reinstall Win10, after it done, everything is back to normal, no more Window 11 downloading and I also see some Win 10 updates continues.

    Please note that some software/app will be removed after you reinstall Win 10.

    mine was stuck on review license terms instead of a check for updates button after a user hit accept on the upgrade. when it was 25% I shut down the wuauserv service and when I started it back up I had the check for update button active and above it was the offer to upgrade, I clicked stay on windows 10 and I was able to check for updates on windows 10 again. still fine after a reboot.

    I downloaded Windows 11 by mistake, My computer has WIN 10, how do I reset back to 10.reset

    I am 77 years old what is the easy way to to go back to 10. I do not see the Windows app in the

    control panel apps.
