Virtualbox & Docker unable to work in parallel on Windows 11

Question

Hello All,

I am using Windows 11 Home Version 21H2 Build 22000.282.

There is an issue that if I use the command

bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off

Then VirtualBox is working fine but Docker failed to start. If I switched back

bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype auto

Then Docker is working but VirtualBox failed to start the Guest OS.

Is there any solution allows both Docker Desktop and VirtualBox works on Windows 11?

I am also using WSL2.

Hi Greg,

Thank you very much for your promptly response, but unfortunately I still got issue when creating Windows VM guest, but for Linux VM guest is working fine.

I am using VirtualBox version 6.0.24 and followed the instruction from https://www.tcg.com/blog/yes-you-can-run-docker-and-virtualbox-on-windows-10-home/
