How to stop Windows input experience & Widgets : Windows11

Question

How can I stop the "Windows input experience" in windows 11?
it's eating more ram & using more disk. Windows Widgets also using more disk. I removed Widgets from taskbar. but it's still running.
I'm using Win 11 on HDD, not SSD.

Hello Saif,

I had this happen too, and here is how I changed it, but be advised that the disabling Windows Input may cause other issues, and if it does, simply return the settings to the previous state. Also be advised that disabling these processes requires editing the registry, and if done incorrectly, can cause major trouble. To stop Windows input Experience:

1. Press the windows key and r key (at the same time) to bring up the run application.
2. Type "regedit" (without the quotes) as shown in first image from the bottom below. (Note you can click on each image to expand it.)
3. At the prompt, click the yes button to allow the registry editor to run and make changes to your computer.
4. You should see the registry editor screen as in the second image from bottom below.
5. Click on the arrows to expand tree of each key Starting at HKEY_CURRENT_USER to navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Input, and your screen should look like the third image from the bottom.
6. Right click in the right pane on the IsInputAppPreloadEnabled value and select "Modify" by left clicking on it and your screen should look like the fourth image from bottom.
7. In the Modfy box type 0 (that is the number zero, not the letter.) then click the OK box and your screen should now look like the fifth image from bottom.
8. Close the registry editor, and then sign out, or shutdown, or restart your computer. When you sign in Windows input experence should no longer run in bckground.
9. To stop Windows Widgets from running in the background go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Dsh in the registry and set IsPrelaunchEnabled value to 0 as is documented at:

1. Click the Windows + R keys.
2. In Run type: services.msc and click OK.
3. Look for Virtual Keyboard Service and Script Panel right click and go to Properties.
4. In the service properties screen, go to Startup type change to Disabled and click the Stop button and click OK to.
5. Restart the system.
