Made a full clean factory reset on my computer to start with a fresh and upgraded windows 11. Tried to install an application, and apparently I'm missing some program/files?

Hi A_Cota.

I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

The lack of these DLLs can be fixed by installing "Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 - 2022 Redistributable". Probably the application that is showing this error depends on it installed.

Download from the links below. I suggest you install both the x86 and x64 versions.

x86: https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x86.exe

x64: https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe

Source: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/la...

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions.

Hi - what if you try to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 - 2022 Redistributable and Windows says it can’t as the version you have is more recent.

I have just updated Windows 11 with all the available updates and it is completely up to date but I am trying to run an app and being told that VCRUNTIME140.dll VCRUNTIME140_1.dllMSVCP140.dllMSVCP140_1.dllMSVCP140_2.dll were all not found.

Could it be that the most recent version has these missing for some reason or could it be that the software program I am trying to run should have contained the dll files in the download.

    Thanks
