I'm having the same issue, Paul. I don't like this change either. The reason it's call Quick Access is that we want to access those folders quickly. Makes no sense to move them below our OneDrive folder.
In Windows 11 file explorer navigation pane, how do I move Quick Access pins back to the top of the list?
When I updated my machine to Windows 11, the quick access items were moved beneath OneDrive in the File Explorer navigation pane. This is a big inconvenience since I always have my OneDrive folder expanded and can no longer scroll to the top to access my pinned folders. How do I get the pinned Quick Access items back to the top of the navigation pane where I can – ironically – access them quickly?

2022-12-09T16:07:45+00:00 Same here.
For years I've used Quick Access the way it was meant to be used.
That is, you have ONLY the items you ACTUALLY NEED, and clicking items navigates to the location of that item. That's it. Simple.
Now, with Show all folders, Show libraries, Show Network and Show This PC unchecked I get something like that:
The simplest feature imaginable is now butchered.
And God forbid you to have any of the mentioned options or the Expand to the current folder set checked — navigation becomes completely unusable.
P.S. While I was writing this, I noticed that the navigation panel changes dynamically or so it seems.
I suspect that this is a feature and not a bug but the logic behind the feature completely eludes me and I don't want to invest any time in finding out what exactly happens because I don't expect this feature to be this complex.

2022-12-05T19:52:06+00:00 I agree - just found this thread because I was trying to understand why they would have moved "Quick Access" to the bottom of OneDrive, of which I have tons of folders. How is that quicker and who thought that would be a great idea to make us scroll to the bottom - obviously, someone who doesn't use OneDrive!! If anyone has a solution, please share because we are all frustrated

2023-12-21T00:48:20+00:00 Just got a new PC with Win11 pre-installed. And ran into the infamous "can't move Quick Access to the top" issue, causing me to find this lovely post. Yikes, MS, almost a year with no response. <sigh> Guess I'll be checking out 3rd party options like others have... sad that they ruined it. And agree with the 'MacOS' comments. If I wanted MacOS, I would have bought an Apple laptop. 🤦🏽♀️ Basic User Experience = Ruined.

2023-01-21T09:03:25+00:00 For f***'s sake Microsoft, do something about this BS already ...
... how hard can it be, who programs this? Quality control?
Just a placement of OneDrive shows how clueless you are! Most people have many folders in OneDrve, many of those not frequently used/needed if at all! So starting the explorer with expanded OneDrve is just a major idiocy!
Not being able remove OneDrive doesn't make sense ... those few folder people use can easily be put in Quick Access ... but not even being able to reorder it is just out of this world stupid! What is the point of Quick Access then if you need to scroll down to access it???
Please, fix this nonsense!
