Add members with a difference license

I'd like to add a lot of people to Teams (customers and the like), but they don't need access to Outlook or similar things. Would it be possible to buy a set of $5/month licenses such that I can assign those to people who don't need the features in the $12.50/month version, or is it all or nothing?

Thanks!

    Hi @DanielHoffman-9630 !

To use Microsoft Teams, you need a Microsoft 365 account with the appropriate Microsoft 365 license plan.

You need one of the following Microsoft 365 license plans:

    Business Essentials

    Business Premium

    Enterprise E1, E3, or E5

Enterprise E4 (for anyone who purchased this plan prior to its retirement)

If you’re licensed for a non-suite plan like Skype for Business Online Plan 2, then you won’t be able to get the app.

    Hi DanielHoffman-9630,

If you want to use the full experience of Microsoft Teams, except the Microsoft Teams license, the Exchange online license, SharePoint Online license and OneDrive for Business license are needed.

You can buy the suitable subscription for your organization. Different subscriptions can provide different features of Microsoft Teams.
