Did you update both Bios & All drivers from that laptop makers support site and not win update?
In win Update settings turn off auto update of Optional updates, which includes drivers

Yesterday i broke my ASUS Laptop… 2018 model. I bought it as a windows 10 pro system and since that time I have upgraded the OS to Windows 11. Over time I have backed up all files and performed several Resets which was ok!
But this time I have really broken it after I tried to Install some updated drives for keyboard backlight issues and sound drivers.
Normally I install all windows updates but this last Update was painfully slow.. I tried to force a shutdown via power and that worked but I attempted another Reset but keep all folders and files.. for what ever reason during the normal windows restating turned off. And from here I can’t restart :-(
I have files that are not not backed up and Can i create a USB boot on another Laptop to then put it into my broken Laptop to start? I have no Idea where to go to make this happen. I have the windows upgrade key that I took a photo of that I have saved previously. I also have an image of the original windows 10 Pro key that I have copied too!
Please anyone help me thanks

Hi Stewart,
Most probably the power cut has damaged the system. Try the following steps to get back your files:
https://www.yourwindowsguide.com/2021/09/recove...
Scroll down to Recovering files when Windows 11 fails to start.
After that, I would suggest performing a clean install:

Feel free to ask if you need further assistance.

Yes I did before Logging into the Asus Utilities Software. I can only get to the windows Repair screen but mother really works. Can’t reset system and keep files, Roll back won’t allow me to roll back to a point.. And other advanced areas restrict my options too. But It let’s me get to cmd: so I’m trying your suggestions as we speak.
My next option I guess is to use another laptop to creat a boot Thumb drive then use it on the broken system is that correct?
Hi Dyari
I’m going through the Command: processes. As you have listed thanks. I updated the Bios in Asus along with some other drivers. It worked but during a restart I found that it was taking along time to reinstall, I think I left the power plug disconnected and the system just crashed.. I tried to hard restart again and I did this several time’s! I feel that I interrupted the real process and then the system would not start to the log on screen again!
My system is Core i5 8 Gen , 16 gb Ram, onboard GPU , 256 Gb SSSD,
The system is tired I feel and IIve been exploring my upgrade path for a creator type system.. haha. I would like to get back my Files too
Hi Stewart,
I'm Dyari. Thanks for reaching out. I will be happy to assist you in this regard.
Kindly try the following methods to fix the issue and you can skip a step that you have already tried:
1-Force the computer to shut down 2 times until you get windows Troubleshooting > Advanced Options:
A-Startup repair.
B-If you have a system restore point, perform a system restore.
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/rec...
C-If you installed any updates recently, uninstall it
D-Click on Command Prompt > Type this command and hit enter:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Once it finishes, type this command and hit enter:
sfc /scannow
Also try boot repair commands:
bootrec /scanos
bootrec /fixmbr
bootrec /fixboot
bootrec /rebuildbcd
Once it finishes, type this command and hit enter:
chkdsk X: /f /r (Replace X with your system drive letter which is usually C)
2-If it did not help, start your computer in Safe Mode:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/sta...
if you could log in with Safe Mode, open CMD as administrator > Type these commands and hit enter:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Once it finishes, type this command and hit enter:
sfc /scannow
Then, restart your computer and check to see if the issue has been fixed or not.
3-If it did not help, create a bootable USB of Windows 11 with a working PC and boot your computer with the USB:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/cre...
On the installation window, click on repair and try the options provided in step 1.
After that, check if it fixed the issue or not.
4-You can find more troubleshooting steps in the link below as well as steps for rescuing your data before going through clean install:
